I’d wanted to jump to Linux since the 90s, but it was never quite there for me, plus my day jerb requires me to be on Windows. I finally started ripping the band-aid off a couple years ago and it’s been amazing. I received a private message in response to a long-running issue I was having with my dGPU, and that person absolutely got me squared away by suggesting I give Aurora Linux a try for use cases.
using plasma mobile on a surface pro 4. on login it asks for a pin? i Can login with my password but a pin seems easier and more in touch with a mobile system. can i make that happen?

I need to be able to launch a program in the background, make it persist after the “parent” terminal closes and be able to access its stdin/stdout from another terminal. I don’t care about multiplexing.

I’m looking into a new tablet and it seems like grabbing a surface is a more affordable option to an iPad or other high end tablet. I can grab a decent one on marketplace for under $200 us. Is it worth it?
I am about to set up a cloud instance with linux operating system, and the common choice here normally would be ubuntu. But since they failed their newest release, and I have the option of going fedora or debian. What would you guys recommend for server?
