My native tribe has the Badlands, so I suppose we could get kind of close.
How are steppes defined? Can’t imagine half a continent doesn’t have at least one.
Steppes are just large grasslands without forest so yeah, they can exist pretty much anywhere. Technically the Great Plains are a steppe/prairie combo.
